NEWSLETTER 23 | TERM 3 – 2016

Good day,

Winter is almost something of the past.  Spring is peeping around the corner, and I think that we are all looking forward to the next season.

UNIFORM:
All learners must be wearing their summer uniform as from the 5th of September 2016.  We do ask that you make sure that your child has the correct summer uniform.  If you would like to purchase a new summer uniform, please do so before the 5th of September 2016 from Silver Cross, Madelief Centre, Pretoria-Noord.

Parents must buy the correct PT uniform.  There are many girls that are wearing ski pants which is not allowed at all.  It must be the Vossie short or black track suit pants with the sport shirt.  Learners that come to school with the wrong clothing will be taken out and parents will have to bring the correct uniform to school.  We have addressed this ample times now.

LEARNER APPEARANCE:
We are still experiencing some problems with the boys hair and some girls that don’t fasten their hair properly.  It is the responsibility of the parent/s to make sure that your child’s appearance is correct.

GRADE 12 EXAMS:
The grade 12 learners will be starting with their preparatory exam on the 26 August 2016.  The teachers worked hard and the learners are well equipped to be able to pass well.

Good luck to the grade 12 learners and teachers, we know that it is now in the hands of the learners to make a success.

RE-REGISTRATION FORMS:
All re-registration forms had to be in on Monday 22nd August 2016.  Thank you to all the parents that did send it in on time.  However, there are still forms outstanding.  If you child is not coming back to CVC for 2017, please send a notice letter to school not later than Monday 29 August 2016.

CHEWING CHAPPIES:
We are experiencing problems with learners chewing chappies all the time.  Please speak to your child about this habit.  They can do it, BUT NOT AT SCHOOL.

LATE COMING:
We have spoken about the late coming a few times now, but it is still persisting.  We will be implementing the following from now on:  The gates will be closed at 7h40.  Learners that are late will not be able to enter the premises if the principal did not meet with the parent/s.  The first bell rings at 7h40 and then it is register period.  It is the responsibility of the parent/s to make sure that your child is on time.

AFTER SCHOOL:
Charlton Vos has no aftercare.  If school is out, learners get on the bus and leave for home.  If your child is making use of own transport, taxi service or aftercare service, you need to inform them to fetch your child not later than 14h15.  The security is not there to look after your child in the afternoons.  The school is only responsible for any learner until 14h00 when school is out.  We don’t have any teachers on duty after 14h00.

 Yours sincerely,

Mr. JS Diedericks
