NEWSLETTER 8 | TERM 2 – 2021

Good day to all parents

Welcome back to all teachers and learners.   We hope and trust that you all had a wonderful time and are ready for the new term.

It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Bongi Tshabalala in grade 9A.  She was an exceptional student.  Our deepest sympathy and condolences to all family and friends.

After careful consideration and planning we have decided to phase back the grades so that all learners will be attending every day.

All protocols, health and safety regulations will still be followed every day.

Grade 1115 April 2021
Grade 3, 4, 7 and 1021 April 2021
Grade 2, 6 and 93 May 2021

Grade RR & Grade RAlready back at school

We would like to thank all parents for the help and effort that were put into helping learners at home with homework and tasks.  We hope and trust that you will continue to do so, to help them achieve good results throughout the year.

Remember:  If your child is sick – keep him/her at home.  Don’t send any sick learner to school.

When paying your school fees, make sure your family code is correct.  Also remember that your fees are payable before or on the 3rd of each month for the month.  If you haven’t paid April yet, make sure to do so ASAP.

All financial letters will go out during this week to parents still owing school fees.

All learners must wear the winter uniform as from the 1st of May 2021.  Beanies are available at school.  No other beanie, except school beanie will be allowed.

We have spoken about discipline many times before.  We would like you just to remind your child about behaving on the bus and here at school.   We deal with ill mannered learners immediately to avoid any hampering of education during school hours.  But we also speak about discipline regularly to make sure every learner behaves well at all times.

Due to the high demand for space in CVC, we had to introduce 3 new Grade 8 classes and one each in Grade 9 and 10.  We do not have space anymore and we cannot introduce more new classes in FET phase (Grade 10 – 12).

VERY IMPORTANT:  We can only accommodate a certain number of learners from Grade 10 – 12.  So, learners will be evaluated on their June/July academic performance as well as their discipline record before they will be admitted in Grade 10 – 12.  A learner who fails Grade 10, 11 or 12 will not be re-admitted because of limited space.

We hope and trust that it will be a good term for all of us.  We will take hands and strengthen the circle between, parent, learner and school so that all can achieve good results at the end of this term.

Enjoy your weekend.
