Good Day

The issue of buses is becoming a serious and ongoing problem now.  We have taken drastic steps on Bus 4, where learners vandalize the bus by tearing the seats, breaking the seats and windows.  If the learners are not going to behave on the bus and respect the property of someone else, that bus will be taken off the road and the parents will have to transport the children themselves.  We speak to the learner’s everyday about behaving on the bus and sitting on the seat, but still we have learners standing and jumping on the seats.

We really need the parents to explain to the learners the importance of behaving and sitting still in a bus.  It seems like some learners are so disrespectful that they just ignore all adults when they speak to them.

Charlton Vos College will be closing the 20th of March 2018 for term 1.  Please inform the own transport of this date.  We will re-open again on the 10th of April 2018.

Thank you to all the parents that took the time to come and see the teacher regarding your child’s progress in class. The next parent days will be by INVITATION ONLY.  That will take place in the second term and will be for possible failures and learners with problems.  If you would like to see the teacher you are more than welcome to make an appointment with him/her.

Time is flying and it is almost time to re-register your child again.  Each learner will receive a form where you have to indicate whether your child will be returning to Charlton Vos College in 2019 or not.  After sending back this form, your child will get the application form that must be completed and sent back to school.  All dates for forms to be in will be given in the next letter.  We will not be taking in any new grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 learners for 2018.  Learners with discipline problems and learners that were in arrears will not be registered for the year 2019.  Such learners will or have already received a letter of NO REGISTRATION AT CVC.

All learners will be receiving the 1st letter for re-registration on the 19th of March 2018.  It must be back the day the school re-opens on the 10th of April 2018.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. JS Diedericks
