TERM 1 CHESS COMPETITION:

Our first chess competition for the year was held on Saturday at school.  The learners enjoyed it very much.  Thank you to teacher Francis for all the arrangements.

Congratulations to the following learners with their outstanding results:

Nr 1 and winner:  Ethan Govender grade 11

Nr 2:  Musa Sibanyoni grade 11

Nr 3:  Mulisa Nemataheni grade 10

GRADE 12 EXTRA CLASSES:

These classes are compulsory for all grade 12 learners.  They take place after school according to a specific schedule.  Please make sure that your child attends these classes every day for there specific subjects.  Some classes are on a Saturday at school when the teacher needs more time with the learners.  It is of the utmost importance that we take hands with the teachers to help all learners reach their goals.  Just take note that other tutoring can not interfere with the school’s extra classes.  This is still a free service that we render to all the grade 12 learners every year and we expect them to attend every class.

CHARLTON VOS AND SOMELPSA PARTNERSHIP

At Charlton Vos, we continually strive to provide our learners with the strongest possible academic foundation. While our classroom teaching equips learners with the necessary knowledge and skills, we recognise that some learners may benefit from additional academic support to help them reach their full potential or successfully pass a subject.

We are pleased to inform you that SOMELPSA has approached Charlton Vos to form a partnership aimed at supporting learners academically. This partnership will provide learners with extra assistance to help them improve their understanding of subjects, excel academically, or strengthen their performance towards the end of the year.

SOMELPSA offers structured academic support programmes, including sessions held on Saturdays and other scheduled times, specifically designed to assist learners who need additional guidance. Should you choose to register your child for this programme, our teachers will work closely with SOMELPSA to ensure that your child receives aligned and effective academic support.

Attached to this letter, please find further information from SOMELPSA explaining their programmes and the support they offer.

We believe this partnership can make a meaningful difference in helping our learners achieve their academic goals, and we encourage you to consider this opportunity for your child.

Kind regards,

Mr JS Diedericks
