NEWSLETTER 4 | TERM 1 – 2019

Good Day;

UNIFORM:
There are still learners with the wrong uniform.  Please check the diary for school rules.

Please make sure that your child is wearing the correct uniform.  It is available at Silver Cross, Madelief Centre, Pretoria-North.  For PT – Physical Training – they have to wear the Vossie black short with the PT golf shirt.  The school’s PT tracksuit pant is also available from Silver Cross.  No other tracksuit pant will be allowed, so please make sure you buy the correct PT uniform.  They are only allowed to wear the PT uniform when the teacher tells them they will be doing exercises outside.

When a learner is not dressed correctly, such learner’s parent will be contacted to bring the correct uniform.  We will not tolerate any incorrect uniform.

High School learners can wear the school Blazers, but they must wear WINTER UNIFORM if they wear the Blazer to school.  It is not worn with Summer Uniform.

SCHOOL PHOTO DAYS:
Learners received the order form for photo’s today.  (Grade R – 7)  Please complete the form and send it with the money in an envelope to school before or on the 5th of March 2019.  We will not take any orders after the 5th of March 2019.

SCHOOL FEES:
February 2019’s school fees had to be paid on the 3rd of February 2019.  We do ask that if you didn’t  pay yet to do so immediately.  All learners did receive an account on Friday 25 January 2019.  Accounts that are in arrears will be handed over for collection.

GRADE 8 & 9:
INSPIRATIONAL DAY: All the learners enjoyed it very much and hopefully they will use the knowledge they gathered at the camp.  We have excellent feedback from the camp leaders.  We are very proud of our learners.

ROCKY FUTURE SHOW:
The grade 12 learners had the opportunity to listen to many different tertiary institutions and we hope and trust that they can make a well thought through decision now about their future.

Thank you very much to Mr. Science Dube for arranging this event.

BEHAVIOUR:
It saddens us to think that there are children that show bad behaviour on the bus and at school.  We know that our learners are brought up to respect and behave.  We do ask the parents to speak to your child about behaviour and respect.  On the bus, we sit on the seats and not jump or run around.  It is extremely dangerous when they don’t obey the rules.  Such learners will be taken off the bus and will have to be transported by their parents to and from school.

In class, learners need to show respect to the teacher and their fellow learners.  They need to obey the class and school rules at all times.  They must have all their books at school every day.  Homework must be done every day.  Bad behaviour disrupts the class and hampers the other learners and teacher to do their best, and this is not acceptable at all.  Such learners will be taken out of class and the parents will be contacted immediately.

PARENT DAYS FOR HIGH SCHOOL:

Mr. JS Diedericks
