Good day
BEFORE SCHOOL (in the mornings):
School starts at 07h40. Learners should all be on time. It is very disruptive for teachers if learners are coming late. All late-comers will wait in the waiting area at main gate. Their names will be written down and they will only be allowed to go to class after the first period.
AFTER SCHOOL:
We had this in the previous letter, but still there are parents that don’t keep to this arrangement. If you are not going to be on time, learners will have to be waiting outside the school premises until you pick them up.
Learners must be picked up from school in time:
Monday – Thursday: Must be picked up not later than 14h15
Fridays: Must be picked up not later than 13h15
They will not be allowed to enter school again. They will have to sit in waiting area, waiting for transport.
We don’t have aftercare at all. Make sure you give the necessary arrangements through to the relevant people so your child will be picked up directly after school is out. Please do the arrangements with the taxi, afterschool/care, and private transport also.
OUTSTANDING SOCCER ACHIEVEMENT:
Simphiwe Ngcobo U/11, is part of the University of Pretoria Football Club (TUKS), and will be competing in Cape Town against 40 other football teams from over the country.
We are very proud of Simphiwe and wish him well. This is a huge honour to be part of such a prestigious competition and club.
PROTEA BOOKSHOP:
Protea Bookshop in Hatfield has an online service. Make sure you purchase your child’s stationery and textbooks early to avoid disappointment.
Stationery lists will be available from the 4th term 2022.
Grade R – 3 stationery packs are available from school. We only have a limited number of packs per grade available for 2023. A letter will go out soon to place your order.
SCHOOL CLOSES DATE:
The school will be closing on the 30th of September 2022 at 10h00. Please make the necessary arrangements that your child will be fetched from school no later than 10h15. Please inform the creche, taxi, aftercare or other transport about this date and time.
SCHOOL RE-OPENS DATE:
School will re-open for term 4, last term of 2022, on the 11th of October 2022.
This is a very short term. All learners are expected to attend every day so that revision can be done thoroughly before the final exam starts.
When the exam starts, school will be out at 12h00 each day. Time tables will be given early enough so parents can make the necessary arrangements.
SCHOOL FEES AND RE-REGISTRATION FEES:
We are nearing the end of the year now very fast. All school fees need to be up to date by the 3rd of November 2022. This needs to be done before the exam starts in the 4th term.
