NEWSLETTER 28 | TERM 3 – 2022

Good day

REGISTRATION FOR 2023: (Extremely important:  Parents must take note)

It is very important that parents take note of the following:

GRADE 9 & 10:

Should a child fail this grade or being progressed (do not pass on their own), they will not be allowed to return to CVC in 2023.  We have a huge space problem and classes are full for the next year.

Please share this with your child, so they understand the consequences of failing the grade.

RESPECT AND BEHAVIOUR: (Also in previous letter)

It is very important that our learners are respectful towards adults and fellow learners.  We do find that some learners, girls and boys, are very arrogant towards teachers.  This is something we are not going to tolerate here at school.

There are many school’s struggling with unruly learners, learners that are disrespectful, learners that are only looking for fights, vandalizing school property etc.  We are not going to tolerate such behavior at our school.  We WILL get rid of learners that don’t obey school rules.  Learners don’t make the rules, they follow the rules of the school.  Learners of Charlton Vos will be the future leaders and respectful adults of South Africa and therefore we will not tolerate any bad behavior towards staff, teachers and fellow learners.  Please speak to your child about good and positive behavior, and the good example they have to be for your family in the outside world.  We need more parents that are strict, consequent in decisions and take our hands and strengthen them in the up bring and educating of our youth.  We want positive, good behavior and learners that strive to excel and reach the highest sport in life.  Not negative, unruly and disrespectful learners that have no goals at all.

Education of basic manners and behavior of morals and values starts at home.

BEFORE SCHOOL (in the mornings):

School starts at 07h40.  Learners should all be on time.  It is very disruptive for teachers if learners are coming late.  All late-comers will wait in the waiting are at main gate.  Their names will be written down and they will only be allowed to go to class after the first period.

AFTER SCHOOL:

We had this in the previous letter, but still there are parents that don’t keep to this arrangement.  If you are not going to be on time, learners will have to be waiting outside the school premises until you pick them up.

Learners must be picked up from school in time:

Monday – Thursday: Must be picked up not later than 14h15
Fridays:  Must be picked up not later than 13h15

They will not be allowed to enter school again.  They will have to sit in waiting are, waiting for transport.

We don’t have aftercare at all.  Make sure you give the necessary arrangements through to the relevant people so your child will be picked up directly after school is out.  Please do the arrangements with the taxi, afterschool/care, private transport also.
