Good day to all parents
RE-REGISTRATION AND NEW REGISTRATIONS:
The re-registration process is completed now and we have started to enrol new learners in the spaces where learners gave notice or did not send back the re-registration form for 2025.
We do thank all the parents that did send back the forms on time. It really helped us to finalize everything quickly for 2025.
SUBJECT CHOICES: GRADE 10 – 12 (previous letter)
Grade 9:
If a learner wants to do Maths in Grade 10 he/she should achieve at least 50% in Grade 9.
Grade 10 & Grade 11:
A learner should achieve at least 45% in Maths. We experience more and more problems with learners who take Maths and they fail (some with 10%, 20% etc) When they are in Grade 12, they are not allowed to change subjects anymore. Now they are stuck with difficult subjects and they fail grade 12.
Please do not allow your child to do Maths if he/she is not ready for it. Rather change the future plans and careers and start with the correct subjects in Grade 10. The longer a learner wait to change subjects, the more they fall behind with new subjects.
Not all learners are able to excel in Maths. They will do better with other subjects. Not all careers need Maths, there are many other opportunities to choose from and still make a huge success of your life and career.
MATRIC FAREWELL:
The grade 12 learners enjoyed their farewell on the Rovos Rail. It was a very beautiful function and every grade 12 learner looked fabulous.
Thank you to all the people that help with the arrangements to make it a memorable event for them.
Grade 12’s are given time till Friday, 2nd of August, to fix their nails, hair etc. By next week Monday, all rules must be adhered to.
MR & MISS CVC:
This event will take place on the 3rd of August at the Lewende Woord Church. It is a very glamorous event. We would like to make use of this opportunity and thank our sponsors that made it possible to host such an event. We do ask that you support our sponsors where possible. List of sponsors is attached.
FRIDAY 2 AUGUST:
Entrepreneurs’ day for the grade 7 learners. Please support them on this day. It is going to be a wonderful experience for them.
MOVIE DAY: GRADE GR. R – 3:
Grade R – 3 will be having a movie day on Friday the 2nd of August.
PUBLIC SPEAKING RESULTS:
Our learners took part in the very prestigious event and got excellent results. We are very proud and would like to thank all teachers involved that made it possible for them to show off their talents.
