Good day

Welcome back after a well-deserved holiday.  We are blessed to have all our learners back at school in high spirits.  We hope and trust that you also had some quality and quantity time with your children during the past holiday.

Please make sure that your account is up to date.  All fees need to be paid by the 3rd of every month.

Learners will receive their reports on 27 July 2022.

The grade 8 and 9 learner took part in a robotics competition as part of the national Mandela Day.  The competition was very successful across the country and according to the facilitators our school was definitely of the top performers for the day.  The robotics programme will continue later this year and dates will be given soon.

The University of Pretoria is offering free of charge extra Maths classes for our grade 10, 11 and 12 learners.  They will be having an information session with the learners and teachers on Saturday, 23 July, 9h30 – 12h00 here at school.  It is compulsory for all Maths students grade 10 -12 to attend this session.  Teachers will take register on Saturday.  All learners did receive a letter on Wednesday concerning the classes offered.

We know it is cold, but learners must wear the correct uniform every day.  No other clothing will be allowed.  Make sure your child is correctly dressed before they leave for school to avoid that parent must bring the correct uniform to school.   If your child is not correctly dressed you will be called and a letter will be issued to your child.

It is the time of the year again where by learners need to re-register and new learners are enrolling.  We have limited space available in all the grades.  Make sure that your child’s re-registration form is back at school.

Foreign learners using study permits must make sure that the study permit is still valid.  If not, your child will not be registered for the next academic year.  Study permit must be for at least one academic year.  All need to submitted by the due date for re-registration.  No late re-registration with study permits will be accepted.

We do ask that if a learner is not feeling well, please take them to the doctor and keep them at home until they are better.  They have to wear a mask when sick/ill.

We also ask that learners will be wearing masks to school, this is just for their own safety and those of others.  We know it is not compulsory anymore, but it still will help to avoid our kids getting sick.  Many learners and teachers are wearing masks and we really welcome it.

We hope and trust that you will enjoy the holiday with your family.  Be safe.
