Good day Parents,

OPEN DAY SUCCESS:

Our Open Day at CVC was a tremendous success. We were delighted to welcome many prospective parents and learners to our school. The feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, with visitors impressed by what we offer and by the many achievements of our school over the years.

As we celebrate 30 years of excellence, we look back with pride on the journey that has brought us to where we are today. This milestone would not have been possible without the dedication, passion, and commitment of our exceptional team.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our teachers, support staff, security personnel, and bus drivers, who work tirelessly every day to ensure that our learners receive the best possible education, care, and support. Their commitment to putting our children first is what makes CVC such a special place.

Together, we are a strong and united team, working towards the success and well-being of every learner entrusted to our care.

We are excited about the future and look forward to welcoming our new learners and families in 2027, with some already joining us during 2026. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making our Open Day such a memorable and successful event.

SCHOOL FEES:

All school fees from January 2026 to June 2026 must now be paid in full.

Please ensure that your account is fully up to date to avoid further action being taken.

Unfortunately, we can no longer allow accounts to accumulate outstanding balances.

Parents have an obligation towards the school and are expected to uphold their part of the contract strictly.

THE HAPPINESS OF CHILDREN IN A DIGITAL WORLD:

The happiness and well-being of our children should always be one of our highest priorities. Children thrive when they feel loved, supported, valued, and safe. They need positive relationships with their families, meaningful friendships, opportunities to play, and guidance from responsible adults.

Unfortunately, modern technology and social media have introduced new challenges that many children are not yet equipped to handle on their own. While social media can be a useful tool for communication and learning, it can also expose children to unhealthy influences, inappropriate content, cyberbullying, peer pressure, and unrealistic expectations about life and relationships.

Many children spend hours online without adequate supervision. As a result, they can easily be drawn into situations that negatively affect their emotional well-being, selfesteem, and behaviour. The constant need for approval through likes, comments, and followers can create anxiety and unhappiness. Some children become isolated from their families, spend less time participating in healthy activities, and struggle to distinguish between what is real and what is presented online.

Parents play a critical role in protecting and guiding their children in the digital age. It is important to know what children are doing online, who they are communicating with, and what content they are consuming. Open communication, clear boundaries, and regular supervision can help children make responsible choices and stay safe.

Children need more than just access to technology; they need guidance, support, and meaningful interaction with the people who care about them. Family conversations, outdoor activities, reading, sports, and quality time together contribute far more to long-term happiness than endless hours spent in front of a screen.

As parents, educators, and community members, we share the responsibility of helping our children grow into confident, respectful, and emotionally healthy young people. By remaining involved in their lives and monitoring their online activities, we can help ensure that technology serves as a positive tool rather than a harmful influence.

A happy child is not one who spends the most time online, but one who feels loved, secure, guided, and connected to the people around them.
