NEWSLETTER 18 | TERM 3 – 2021

Good day to all parents

Welcome back to all learners and staff after the well-deserved holiday.  We hope and trust that you all had a wonderful time with your family.  Our sincere condolences to the families that lost a loved one.  We pray that the Lord Almighty will keep you in His hands during this time.

Covid is still with us and we need to keep to all protocols to help fight this virus.  Everyone has a duty and if we can just play our part, we will be able to minimize the spread of this virus.

ILL/SICK LEARNERS:

If your child is not feeling well or showing any symptoms of covid, please keep him/her at home and inform the register teacher.  It is not nice for a sick child to sit in class, while the parents knew the child wasn’t feeling well since he/she woke up.    Any sick learners will be sent home immediately.

SCHOOL FEES:

Please make sure that your account is up to date.  If you have any queries about your account, send an email to fees@cvc.africa, attention Me Heidi van der Merwe.

It stays your responsibility to make sure that your account is correct.  Check the statement every month to avoid any problems at the end of the year.

It is of utmost importance to use the correct family code when paying school fees.  School fees are allocated to learner account according to family code.  No family code no allocation.  Wrong family code, wrong allocation.  As per contract, interest is charged monthly on outstanding accounts.

SCHOOL UNIFORM:

Please make sure that your child is wearing the correct winter uniform.  We know it is bitterly cold in the mornings, so we do ask that your child put on warm clothes under the school uniform.  No one wants to be cold the whole day.  They are not allowed to wear any other beanie, except the Black Vossie’s Beanie, available at school.

BUILDINGS:

We are done with a new toilet block for the boys.  We are building four new classes and it will soon be ready.

BUS TRANSPORT:

Please remind your child to behave on the bus.  Any child misbehaving or damaging property will be taken off the bus.

RETURN OF LEARNERS TO SCHOOL:

All grade RR to grade 7 learners will be back at school from the 2nd of August 2021. We recognize that our current situation and the accompanying uncertainty, is causing a lot of stress for our students, teachers and parents, but we remain focused on doing everything possible to ensure the successful completion of the 2021 academic programme.  In doing so, we always have to keep in mind the health and safety of all at school, and therefore all need to obey all rules and protocols.

High school learners:  The grade 8 – 11 learners will still be coming in groups for the next 2 weeks, or until we receive confirmation from DBE concerning return of high school learners.  Teachers are making sure that all learners are up to date with all work and if not the parents of such a learner will be contacted immediately.
