NEWSLETTER 17 | TERM 2 – 2024

Good day to all parents

ILL/SICK LEARNERS:

If your child is not feeling well or is ill, please keep him/her at home.  Contact the teacher and arrange that your child’s work will be send via email to you.  Learners that show flu/cold symptoms must also stay at home.  There are too many parents that are sending children to school that are coughing.  We can not diagnose a learner therefore we call the parents to take an ill/sick learner to the doctor.   Remember to hand in the medical certificate at the class teacher.

BUSES:

After numerous counts of speaking to the primary school learners, also appealing in the letters to parents to please speak to your child about behaviour on the bus, we still experience bad behaviour.  We are going to take these learners now off the bus and the parents will have to transport them themselves in the mornings and afternoons.

SCHOOL FEES:

Please make sure that your account is up to date.  If you have any queries about your account, send an email to fees@cvc.africa (grade R – 7) and hsfees@cvc.africa (grade 8 – 12).

It stays your responsibility to make sure that your account is correct.  Check the statement every month to avoid any problems at the end of the year.

It is of utmost importance to use the correct family code when paying school fees.  School fees are allocated to learner account according to family code.  No family code no allocation.  Wrong family code, wrong allocation.  As per contract, interest is charged monthly on outstanding accounts.

RE-REGISTRATION FORMS FOR 2025:

All the re-registration forms must be in at the office.  We are busy capturing all the re-registrations to be able to do the necessary planning for the next academic year.

TEST/EXAMS:

Exams starts on the 20th of May 2024.  Make sure your child is ready and healthy to start.  Let’s work hard.  We are almost at the end of our term.

During the first weeks of the exam the school will be out at 13h00.  A learner who is sick during exam must hand in a letter from a doctor.

Learners using own transport must arrange that they are fetch not later than 13h15.  After 13h15 there will be no supervision for the learners.

When the school will be out at 12h00, learners need to be fetched at 12h15.  After 12h15 there are no supervision for the learners.

GRADE 9 CONCERT: 11 MAY 2024

What a beautiful event.  Thank you to each and every learner that took part and made it a huge success.  Thank you to all the parents that came out to support your kids.  They enjoyed it so much.  It was a wonderful start for Mother’s Day.  A lot of effort went into planning this event and learners had many rehearsals.  They can be very proud of themselves.

Thank you to all the teachers involved and making this possible for the learners.

Regards
Mr.JS Diedericks
