FOUNDATION PHASE:
They are busy with their Assessments for the whole week.  (20 May – 24 May)

INTERMEDIATE PHASE:  (Gr 4 – 7):
They will commence with exams on the 27th of May 2019.  All learners must be at school every day.  They will have a study session before they start writing.

HIGH SCHOOL:
The high school will commence on the 24th of May 2019.

SCHOOL CLOSING DATE:
Charlton Vos College will be closing on the 12th of June 2019 at 12h00.  Please make the necessary arrangements for your child.

As from the 24th of May 2019, the school will be out at 12h00 every day until the 12th of June 2019.  High school learners that will be writing during the second session must arrange own transport home after the session.  The second session will commence at 11h30. There are only 4 days that there will be 2 sessions.

No learner will be called out of the examination room during the session.  Learners will sit for the full duration of the session.  Exam papers will only be taken in at the end of the session.

SCHOOL RE-OPENING FOR TERM 3:
The school will re-open on the 9th of July 2019.

RE-REGISTRATION / NEW APPLICATIONS:
Please make sure that you have sent back your re-registration form.  We don’t keep space and we have many new applications for 2020.  Learners with discipline problems / bad behaviour have already been informed that they will not be re-registered at CVC for 2020.

INTERMEDIATE PHASE SPORT DAY:  22 MAY 2019:
Christian progressive visited us yesterday for the sports day.

Charlton Vos did extremely well.

Netball:       Gr 5:  Won  3 – 1

Gr 6:  Won  5 – 2

Gr 7:  Draw 4 – 4

Soccer:         Juniors:  Draw

Seniors:  Won 7 -1

Congratulations to all the participants.  We are very proud.  Thank you to all the teachers that made this day special.

AFTER SCHOOL – WAITING AREA:
We are having a serious problem with learners that are using own transport after school.  They are very disrespectful towards the teachers and security.  It is not the security’s responsibility to look after learners after school is out.  These learners will wait in the waiting area on own responsibility for their transport.  They will not be allowed back on the premises after the last bell rang.  Please make sure that your child is picked up not later than 14h15 from Monday to Thursday and 13h15 on a Friday.  Security is not after care and will not be responsible for your child after school.  The waiting area gate will be open, security will only help the traffic to flow after the bell rang.
