Charlton Vos

NEWSLETTER 16 | TERM 2 – 2016

Good Day

All learners must be wearing our winter uniform now.  We do ask that you make sure that your child is correctly dressed every day.  We will have regular inspections here at school and learners with the wrong uniform will have to wait in the waiting area until their parents bring them the correct uniform or fetch them from school.  We will not have the learners dictate to us, they will obey all the rules.

This seems to escalate, not only at our school but all over.  And we can unfortunately not tolerate this in our school or on the bus.  Learners need to understand that “playing fighting” will not be an excuse.  If learners fight on a bus, it jeopardizes all the learners’ safety on the bus.  The driver will report it immediately to Mr Hanno Nel and learners involved in this kind of bad behaviour will be suspended from the bus as with immediate effect.  We do ask that you speak to your child again about rules and what is accepted and what not.

We as Charlton Vos College try our level best to keep on upgrading our premises.  We spend hours on maintenance, but there are a few learners that vandalize school property just for the kick of it.  This is a very serious offence and such learner will be dealt with immediately.  Some learners are leaving the toilets in a terrible state after they have used it.

The exam starts on the 24th of May 2019 (grade 8 – 12) and for grade 4 – 7 on the 27th of May 2019 and ends for all grades on the 12th of June 2019.  All learners did receive the scopes in all the subjects already.  Most of the subjects for high school they will be writing about all the work they have done from January 2019.

We ask that you help your child to prepare for the upcoming exam.

When you receive your child’s report, please make copies of the report and file the original one.  If we have to reprint a report, the cost is R 20 per copy.  Reports for Term 2/2019 will only be handed out at the beginning of term 3/2019.

Remember that your child can buy the “school beanie” from the office.

Hope and trust that you will have a warm and fun-filled weekend.
