NEWSLETTER 15 | TERM 2 – 2023

Good day

Hope and trust that you are all well?  It is the winter season and there are many viruses and bugs going around.  We do ask that you take the necessary precautions and get some vitamins to boost the immune system during the winter time.

JUNE EXAM:

The exam will commence on the 1st of June 2023.  We do ask that you help your child in preparing for every subject thoroughly.

Please remind your child that they are not allowed to have a phone on the during exam time (not even if it is switched off).  Keep phone at home if possible.

This is a very important exam.  Learners are not allowed to wear PT clothes during exam time.  All learners need to wear the correct school uniform at all times.  If a learner is not properly dressed or does not follow the school rules, such learner will have to phone their parents to bring them the correct uniform before they will go to class.  We do ask parents to make sure your child is correctly dressed before the board the bus or get dropped off.

School will be out at 12h00 from the 1st of June until the school closes for this term.

If your child is writing the second session, please make the necessary transport arrangements for him/her after the exam session in the afternoon.

OWN TRANSPORT: (previous letter)

Please notify the creche, taxi or after school that all children need to be picked up not later that 12h15 from the 1st of June.   There will be no supervision for any learners after school.

If your child is making use of the bus transport, make sure you wait at the drop off point to get your child when they disembark the bus.  The driver can’t wait and can’t take any responsibility for your child once they are off the bus.  Make sure your child knows exactly where to get off the bus.  Remember that the buses will be earlier at drop off points from the 1st of June 2023.

APPOINTMENTS WITH TEACHERS:

You are welcome to make an appointment with the teacher/s.  But these appointments will have to be before or after school.  Teachers are not allowed to leave their classes unattended, during break time they have play ground duty to attend to.

No parent is allowed to go to a class directly.  Please make sure you report to the office first.  This is for security reasons and we all need to obey by the rules.

SCHOOL FEES:
Please make sure that your school fees are up to date.  If you did not send the proof of overdue account, please do so immediately.  You can send it to fees@cvc.africa.  Please make sure you use the correct family code when making a payment.
No family code – No allocation to account of learner.

MISS AND MR CVC:

We will be hosting a Miss and Mr CVC in the next term.  Learners are geared up for this fantastic event.  Photos were taken, interviews done, voting is taking place and now it is waiting for the final event to make choose Miss and Mr CVC.  We would like to make use of this opportunity and thank our Sponsors for their contribution to this event.  Please support them in the future.  More about this event a bit later.
