Dear Parents,
A warm welcome back after the Easter weekend. We hope and trust that you all enjoyed a wonderful time with family and friends, celebrating Jesus Christ.
Term 2 brings with it a few challenges, but together we can overcome them successfully. This term includes the important June examinations, which play a vital role in each learner’s academic progress. We encourage all learners to remain focused and committed to their studies from the start of the term.
TERM 2:
Parental involvement plays a crucial role in a learner’s academic success. We encourage all parents to actively support their children by assisting them with homework and tasks, and by ensuring that work is revised and summarized regularly. This will prevent learners from feeling overwhelmed when examinations approach.
Take time to know your child—their strengths, challenges, and potential—and encourage them to work hard and take pride in their efforts. Praise them when they achieve their goals, no matter how small, as this builds confidence and motivates them to continue striving for success.
Your involvement in your child’s academic journey makes a significant difference. A supportive and encouraging home environment helps learners stay focused, disciplined, and determined to succeed.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Due to two long weekends in April and the beginning of May, and as many schools have indicated that they will be closed for that entire period, Charlton Vos has also decided to close on 28, 29 and 30 April.
To ensure that no teaching time is lost, we will be extending the school day for the next two weeks. School will end at 15:00 (Monday to Thursday) instead of 14:00, and at 14:00 on Fridays instead of 13:00.
Please make the necessary arrangements for your child to be collected by 15:15 (Monday to Thursday) and 14:15 on Fridays.
This will be a temporary arrangement for the next two weeks only, and we appreciate your cooperation and support.
EATING HABITS:
Healthy eating habits play a vital role in a child’s overall development, concentration, and academic performance. Children who consume balanced meals—including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins—are more likely to have sustained energy levels, improved focus, and better memory retention in class.
On the other hand, poor eating habits, such as excessive intake of sugary snacks, fast foods, and fizzy drinks, can lead to fatigue, lack of concentration, and behavioural challenges in the classroom. Over time, these habits can also negatively affect a child’s health and well-being.
We encourage parents to provide nutritious meals and snacks, especially before school, as a healthy body supports a healthy mind. Establishing good eating habits from a young age will greatly benefit your child both academically and physically.
We look forward to a productive and successful term ahead. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and involvement in your child’s education.
Kind regards,
Management
