NEWSLETTER 16 | TERM 2 – 2017

Good day

We hope and trust that you and your child are taking hands in preparing for the last part of the exam.  Most of the time learners and parents only realize too late (after exam) how important it was to sit and study thoroughly for every paper.  When the reports go out then parents and learners wants to do something about the marks, but then it is too late.

We also experience problems with learners that come to school ill.  We are not allowed to dispense any medicine at school.  The parent/s are phoned to collect the learner immediately from school.

We do ask that if your child is ill, please keep him/her at home or take them immediately to the doctor.

We have addressed this issue a few times already.  All learners must be dressed according to the school rules.  If a learner is not dressed appropriately he/she will be send to the office, and the parents will be phoned to bring the correct uniform for the day.  We will not tolerate wrong clothing anymore.

As from Friday 2nd of June, school came out at 12h00, and will stay this time until the 22nd of June 2017.  Please make the necessary arrangements with after school transport and after care.  The buses will be leaving here at school at 12h00, make sure that there will be somebody to get your child at the bus stop earlier.

All learners must be fetched from school not later than 12h30 every day.  There will be no super vision after 12h30 and gates will be locked.

16 June 2017Youth day:  Public Holiday
22 June 2017School closes for winter holiday
24 July 2017School reopens for term 3/2017

The school will be closing on the 22nd of June, the grade 12 learners are still writing on the 23rd of June.  They will have to arrange their own transport for the day’s exam session.  There will be no bus transport on the 23rd of June.

We would like to thank all the parents that pay the school fees so promptly every month or those that did pay in advance for the year.  But sadly there are still many accounts in arrears and these accounts are just accumulating and is becoming a serious financial problem.  We do ask that you bring your account up to date ASAP to avoid further steps.  Remember to keep in mind that this is a private institution and the school fees every month is important to make sure that the institution functions properly.  We can’t  have learners not paying school fees or falling behind,  such accounts will be closed and contracts will be terminated with immediate effect is the specific account in arrears are not brought up to date before or on 15th June 2017.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. JS Diedericks
