NEWSLETTER 11 | TERM 2 – 2018

Good day

WINTER UNIFORM:
As from the 1st of May 2018 all learners must wear full winter uniform.  If your child doesn’t have the correct winter uniform, please go to Silver Cross and purchase it before the 1st of May 2018.

The school diary has the correct uniform in.  Only the beanie sold at school can be worn.  No other beanie will be allowed.

GRADE 4 – 7 OUTINGS:
All the learners enjoyed the outings very much.  They learned a lot and was thrilled with the experience.  Thank you to all the teachers that went with and made it a memorable event.

Grade 4 – 7 CAMPS:
All final payments must be made not later than 31 July 2018.  We are looking forward to this wonderful experience.

SCHOOL HEALTH PROGRAMME:

The Department of Health, Basic Education and Social Development are running a programme that includes all grade R to grade 7 learners.  They will be visiting the school on the 22nd of May 2018.  All grade R to grade 7 learners will receive a consent form that must be completed and signed and send back to school not later than 16 May 2018.

EXAM SCOPES:
The exam is almost here and all learners need to start with preparation for the exams.  The teachers did give the scopes for all learners grade 4 to grade 12.  The scopes are pasted into their books or given to them to put in their flip files.

High school scopes grade 8 to grade 12:  They write in all subjects about all work done from January 2018 to June 2018.

We do ask that all parents take our hands and make an effort to help your child with the exam preparations.  If it is necessary buy extra books or download past papers to help them.

WAITING AREA (14H00 – 14H20)

As you know we have mentioned in the previous letters the new waiting area for learners not making use of the bus transport after school.  It will be completed by Monday 14th of May.  We have send out several letters explaining the procedure about the waiting area.  No learner will be accommodated after 14h20 in the afternoon.  It stays the responsibility of the parent to inform the after care or taxi to pick the child up not later than 14h20 in the afternoon.  If the parents are picking up their kids themselves, please make sure you are here on time.  The security is not responsible for your child.  We do ask that you make the necessary arrangements for when exams start.  School will be out at 12h00 and all learners must be picked up not later than 12h15.

Yours sincerely,

Mr. JS Diedericks
